The Reluctant Romantic

The leaves are starting to fall again. Wow!! Looks so beautiful! Why do they fall?? Why is it happening in slow motion in my head, is it because I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately? They are falling down as the wind plays with it, spins it around, caress it, feel it- so romantic. Does anything like that exist in this inexhaustible variety of our lives? They are dying and yet they are loved, they’re old and on their final journey and yet they’re loved. Maybe it’s because there is no expectation from the wind or the leaf. As it touches the ground, it’s dead. Moved around in its grave by the speeding vehicles, by the kicks of disapproval, heartbreaks that we experience- As their soul moves to a new tree, ready to blossom, to grow as a new leaf- The repetitiveness of life, the never ending cycle. What is he talking about? Does he also get lost in his thoughts while I’m talking? Why is he dressed up so well? Did he get placed? Or is he telling how they rejected him? Does he actually care about me? I think I must smile a bit, he looks excited. Maybe he did get placed. Even he doesn’t listen to me, most of the time- Or maybe he does. Or he might be just thinking of kissing me, or maybe what movie to watch tonight? Or where can he get his porn as it’s been blocked? Whatever? Let’s get back to the leaf- this reincarnation of the living things around us that don’t talk. Why can’t he just enjoy watching the leaves??...

“I love you”, he said

The magic created by the things around us. Can we create them? Can we give into the idea of creating it? We love the idea of it, but can it be a reality. We usually are in love with the idea of being love. The creation of magic, by being yourself, by accepting things the way they are, by not judging the actions of each other, not being obligated to each other. The magic of what we believe to be a cliche. The magic of being one and yet be...

He waves in front of my face, “Did you hear what I just said? I said, I love you”

“Huh!!”

Since I saw the movie first, I could visualize every single line. Yes, Swathi was definitely the best fit. (Not you though )

    1. I know, that;s why she was cast in it. I had the vision :P Also when I was writing it, I had a clear picture of the female character in it, never put much thought into the guy. So as long as my casting in the movie is concerned, I was forced and had to agree as time was of the essence and we had no other choice, at the moment :P
